Glossary of MambaBuy account words
Most confusion in a first order comes from status names. The terms below appear in MambaBuy's member centre and help screenshots; the jargon of the wider buying community (QC for the warehouse photos, GL and RL for a go or a return decision on them) sits at the end.

| MB number | A parcel order, quoted on protection claims. |
| DC ID | Your user ID, written in the remark when paying by Alipay. |
| Package Claim | Matching a parcel you sent yourself to your account. |
| Chargeable weight | The larger of actual and volumetric weight. |
| Package Preview | Paid service that packs and weighs before you choose a line. |
| QC | The warehouse photos and checks on an item. |
| GL / RL | Community shorthand for deciding to ship an item (green light) or send it back (red light). |
Questions newcomers send most often
Each question here is one frequently asked before a first order; each reply leans on MambaBuy's help articles.
Do I need a Taobao or Alipay account to buy through MambaBuy?
No. With the purchasing service MambaBuy pays the seller for you; its help says this suits customers without either account. You need a Chinese account only if you buy yourself and use parcel forwarding.
Is there a fee for MambaBuy to buy the item?
Not on orders you place yourself on the website. Orders that staff type in from WhatsApp, WeChat or email cost 3% below RMB 5,000 and 1.5% from RMB 5,000, since 15 October 2026.
How long do I have to decide after the photos arrive?
Five days from Stored for a no-reason return or exchange, counted as 120 hours. MambaBuy also describes it as seven days after the seller's delivery is signed for; use the shorter reading.
Is there a time limit on storage?
Yes: ninety days are free. Then CN¥10 per order record per thirty days, and after 180 days unclaimed goods are treated as abandoned.
Which line is cheapest to the UK?
On 21 October 2026, RM01 at CN¥95 for one kilogram, labelled Tax & Duty included. Re-check the estimator before paying; MambaBuy raised freight rates in March 2026.
Does MambaBuy test electronics?
No. Its inspection covers appearance, quantity, colour, size and model; function and authenticity of electronics are outside it, and batteries may be removed at packing.
Can I get an invoice for customs?
MambaBuy says it provides only payment screenshots as proof of payment, not invoices or receipts.
Is this site MambaBuy?
No. It is an independent directory and manual. Your account, payments and parcels are on mambabuy.com.
Which MambaBuy inbox handles which trouble
MambaBuy's contact article routes problems by type. Order, parcel and payment questions go to the online customer service chat on the site. Account-only problems go to [email protected]. Business enquiries go to [email protected]. The floating bar on the site also carries a WhatsApp number and a link to the official Discord server. Staffed hours are Monday to Saturday, 09:00 to 18:00 Beijing time; during Chinese holidays only messages are taken.
